The
Department of Linguistics at the University at Buffalo, invites
applications for a full-time, non-tenure track, lecturer position in the
Korean language to begin Fall 2014. The position is appointed with an
initial 1-year contract, renewable based on performance. The successful
candidate’s responsibilities include teaching three Korean language
courses per semester, possibly at different levels, as well as providing
assistance to the Director in the development of the Korean Program
such as training and supervising graduate and undergraduate student
teaching assistants, conducting placement tests, and (on-line) material
development.
Minimum
Qualifications: Master’s degree in relevant field including Korean
language and linguistics, language pedagogy, and applied linguistics;
native or near-native command of Korean and English; experience teaching
Korean at the college level.
