[The Korean Language Village “숲 속의 호수”] Staff

The Korean Language Village, named “숲 속의 호수” (“Lake in the Woods”) will offer its 19th summer of programming in 2017. Contract dates are June 11 to July 16 (5 weeks).

The Village seeks to hire committed and talented staff members who can contribute to this exciting not-for-profit language-and-culture summer immersion program (summer camp) for North American young people ages 7-18.

The ideal staff member will be familiar with both Korean and North American culture, and will be a dynamic, outgoing Korean speaker with experience working with young people. We are particularly eager to find staff who can lead activities in Korean ethnic sports, music, dance or arts. One does not need to be a native Korean speaker to work on staff; the key is to be a committed lifelong learner of Korean—the ability to work well in an intense, high-energy environment, and to work cooperatively in close quarters with a mix of Korean and North American staff members and North American young people is essential.

한국어 마을 ‘숲 속의 호수’

미국 미네소타 주에 소재하고 있는 콘코디아 한국어 마을 ‘숲 속의 호수’에서 2017년 여름 프로그램(2017.6.11 ~ 7.16)에 함께 일할 스탭을 모집합니다. 올해로 19번째 열리는 본 프로그램은 비영리로 운영되고 있는 콘코디아 15개언어 마을 중 하나로 7-18세의 북미지역 청소년들이 한국어와 한국문화를 재미있게 배울 수 있는 여름 몰입교육 캠프입니다. 2017년 여름 프로그램을 함께 할 열정적이고 재능 있는 스탭을 찾고 있습니다.

자격 요건으로는 한국어에 능숙하고, 미국에서 합법적으로 일할 수 있는 신분이거나 미국 비자(J1)를 발급 받는데 결격사유가 없는 분이면 누구든지 지원 가능합니다. 한국과 북미 문화에 친숙하신 분, 활발하고 사교적인 성격의 소유자,어린이나 청소년 대상 프로그램 및 활동에 경험이 있는 분을 선호하고 있습니다. 특히 한국 전통 스포츠, 음악, 춤,미술 등을 지도할 수 있는 재능은 스탭 선발 시 우대됩니다.

높은 수준의 영어 능력은 요구하지 않습니다. 강인한 체력과 열정적으로 일할 수 있는 능력을 갖추고 있어야 하며 캠프라는 좁은 공간에서 한국과 북미 출신의 동료 및 미국 청소년들과 함께 어울리고 협동할 수 있어야 합니다.
