Lecturer
of Korean Language, Literature, and Culture
The Department of East
Asian Languages and Literatures at Smith College invites applications for a one-year
lecturer position in Korean Literature and Language, to begin July 2017. The
position is a full time appointment with full benefits. The lecturer will teach
five courses in Korean language and Korean literature/culture in translation.
Applicants must have a native or near-native fluency in Korean and
English, a Ph.D. or ABD status with a specialization in Korean literature/culture,
and experience in language teaching at all levels, with a commitment to
excellence in teaching.
Located in Northampton, MA, Smith College is
the largest women’s college in the country and is dedicated to excellence in
teaching and research across the liberal arts. A faculty of outstanding
scholars interact with students in small classes, as advisors, and through
student-faculty research projects. The Five College Consortium, comprised of
