The Department of Asian Studies at The Pennsylvania State University is searching for a full-time lecturer in Korean beginning August 2015. The position will offer benefits and a one-year contract with the possibility of renewal. Salary is competitive. Responsibilities will include teaching introductory to advanced Korean language courses as well as participation in programmatic service. Candidates who can teach courses in Korean culture (literature, history, film) and who can contribute to the growth of Korean Studies on campus are especially welcome. Minimum requirements include Master`s degree in Korean or related discipline, near-native ability in both Korean and English, appropriate teaching experience, and evidence of high quality in teaching.
