Dear Students,
The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles (KCCLA), in collaboration with KSICUSA, is pleased to announce the 2022 Online Korean Poetry Recitation Contest. This special event is open to Korean learners (including college students as well as the general public) from across the United States, whose native language IS NOT Korean. Each entrant will choose one poem from the list (appropriate to their class level) and submit a video of themselves reciting the poem on-screen and in Korean. (Please see the complete instructions for details at https://www.kccla.org/koreanlanguageprogram/contest/ )
The video itself must be your own original work, including your recitation of the poem in Korean and acknowledgments/citations of any images, videos, or music that are copyrighted and/or not yours.
We have prepared over $4,000 worth of prizes, as well as special souvenirs to all participants who do not win larger prizes.
Have fun, don't feel pressured, and good luck!!
We will be accepting video submissions by email until Thursday, September 25, at 11:59 (PDT).
As always, if you have any questions or concerns not covered in the attachment, please don't hesitate to email us at speechcontest@kccla.org
Best Regards,
---------------------------------
P.S. : If you want to hear the poem of your choice in Korean, click on the link, Papago Translator, and select Korean and type or paste the Korean text in the left box. Press the speaker button and then you can hear the Korean pronunciation of the poem you want.
