Dear Korean Language Program Directors,

I am Jayoung Choi, a Korean language professor, at Georgia Institute of Technology. I am writing this email to ask if you could forward this email to your Korean language students to help me advertise my new summer immersion program called, Korean LBAT (Language for Business and Technology). Please see the attached flyer and visit the following website for more information, http://www.modlangs.gatech.edu/lbat-program/korea.

KOREAN LBAT is a faculty-led summer immersion program that will take place for two months (June 18th to Aug. 14th, 2010) at Sogang University, Seoul, Korea. Students who have finished the 2nd year of Korean courses or who demonstrate an intermediate level of Korean proficiency are eligible to participate. Students will take 3 courses which focus on business and technology Korean and visit several business sites, such as LG, Hyundai, Samsung, SK C&C, CJ Internet, and so on. In addition, students will take 2 two-day cultural excursions to south of Korea, Jeollanamdo and Kyeongsangdo as well as various cultural sites in Seoul. This program will provide the students with excellent and exciting opportunities to improve the language in an immersion and intimate setting and to enhance their understanding of Korean corporate, historical, social and cultural knowledge.

Non-Georgia Tech students are encouraged to participate in the program, and they will pay the in-state tuition rate for the summer program. The program fee is $4500 excluding the tuition and airfare. ROTC students with Korean language background are especially encouraged to participate. Through “Project Go”, each ROTC student might be eligible to receive $7000 scholarship if they participate in the Korean LBAT program. http://www.modlangs.gatech.edu/study-abroad/NewStudyWork/ROTC/ROTClangcult.php
Registration is open until March 1st, 2010.

Thank you for reading this email, and I would greatly appreciate it if you could simply forward this email to your students. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

LBAT (Language for Business and Technology)라는 summer immersion program을 첫 해 진행하게 되었습니다.
