Help Spread the Word! Fulbright Teacher Exchanges Opportunities
Hello! We are reaching out to you regarding Fulbright Teacher Exchanges, a suite of programs sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and administered by IREX.
As you may know, these fully-funded professional learning programs provide opportunities for elementary and secondary educators, in the U.S. and around the world, to share educational practices and bring global skills and perspectives to their school communities. Each year we select nearly 150 educators from across the United States to participate in programs ranging from 10 days to 12 months.
Fulbright Teacher Exchanges are open to U.S. K-12 educators regardless of their race, color, national origin, sex, age, religion, socioeconomic status, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity. We welcome educators in any content area including (but not limited to) Social Studies, World Languages, STEM, Library/Media, Special Education, and the Arts. In addition to public schools, educators from private (secular or faith-based) or charter schools are encouraged to apply.
This message is to you to let you know that applications are now open for our 2024-25 program cycle, in case these opportunities are of interest to the teachers or networks you represent. For K-12 U.S. educators, applications are open for the Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms Program, Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Research Program and Fulbright Leaders for Global Schools Program. The deadline to apply is February 19, 2024.
We have appreciated your help promoting these opportunities in the past, and we hope you will be interested in sharing this year’s announcement with your network. We would appreciate your confirmation if you do pass it along, and please don’t hesitate to let us know if any additional materials (like graphics or a PDF information sheet) would be helpful. Thank you for the work you do in education, and we hope these kinds of opportunities support your mission!
