2023 AATK Conference - Local Chair's Message about Accommodation

Dear AATK members,

As the AATK conference is quickly approaching next month, I would like to remind you about hotel reservation and room sharing information as follows:

1. Hotel Reservation: The Sheraton hotel, the headquarter hotel for the 2023 AATK conference, is offeringa special conference rate ($179 plus tax/night) until Monday, May 15, 2023. The rooms areavailable on a first come, first serve basis, so please make sure to book by this date if you plan to stay at the Sheraton. Please read the following information carefully before booking:

- Although a double room (2-bedded room) has a maximum occupancy of 4 guests, the total bill of a room can be split between 2 credit cards only.

- Each guest will be required to show their ID to receive a key for the guest room.

1. Roommate Search (NEW!)/Room Sharing

If you are looking for a roommate, there is a Google Doc where you can sign up and reach out to another directly. We are not posting the Google Doc link on this website for a security reason, but if you need the link, please contact one of the emails listed at the bottom of this email

- Please book a room directly using the link provided and call the hotel to add the second person’s name. Both of your names should be on the reservation to check in.

- The first person who arrives to check in will be required to put down their credit card for incidentals. The total cost of the room can be split between two cards, but the person with their credit card on file will be responsible for incidentals.

- If you have more questions about the hotel, please contact the hotel directly at 1-888-627-7071.

1. AATK Participation Support Fund

AATK will provide a $100 Participation Support Fund to each registered conference attendee who stays a minimum of one night (at a hotel or Airbnb) in Philadelphia between 6/14/2023-6/18/2023. The support fund will be given at the conference venue (in-person) during check-in along with registration materials (name badge, program, etc.). Further information will be emailed after May 15th to the registered members with more instructions about the support fund.
