KAERA 2013 Call for proposals

You are cordially invited to submit a proposal to the annual meeting of Korean-American Educational Researchers Association (KAERA). The mission of the KAERA is to promote intellectual dialogues among scholars in broadly defined education disciplines through research that examines critical issues of the field and offers implications for education practice and policies. KAERA is holding its 4th annual conference in San Francisco, California on April 27, 2013. The theme for this year’s conference is “Fostering Interdisciplinary Discourse among Korean-American Scholars to Advance Educational Theory, Research and Policy.”
The KAERA annual meeting will not only offer you the opportunity to join the rapidly growing community of Korean and Korean-American educational scholars in Korea and the United States, but also help you advance your academic and professional career by exchanging information about funding/grants, tenure and promotion process, publications, and job search.

A proposal between 500 and 1,000 words in length will be considered for a roundtable session It should include presentation, title, objectives or purposes, perspective(s) or theoretical framework, methods, results, and implications/significance (see attached for more information about proposal submission).
A proposal with a cover sheet must be submitted as email attachment to hcho@ku.edu by February 15, 2013. If accepted, applicants will be notified by February 28, 2013. No late submissions will be accepted.
