|
Summary:
Provide basic, intermediate and advanced language
instruction to U.S. government students. Position responsibilities
include but are not limited to preparing new course materials,
developing and implementing curriculum, and assisting with the
evaluation of students and academic counseling.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and present complex language training materials and programs for Government customers and in-house employees
• Test trainees to measure learning progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training presentations
• Conduct training programs on complex language and area studies topics
• Provide guidance to junior instructors utilizing strong technical and training skills |

Required Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or graduate level education in the language, teaching methodology or a related field.
Required Experience:
•
Interagency Language Round Table (ILR) level 3 in the Target Language
(North Korean Dialect) and an advanced working proficiency in English
(ILR level 2+ based on the DLPT 4)
• Fully knowledgeable of the target culture and current usage of the target language.
• Minimum of five (5) years of combined experience in language education, methodology and adult education
•
Minimum of five (5) years of combined experience developing and
delivering language courses for platform delivery from refresher through
advanced (post-graduate) levels, focusing on translation, grammar, oral
comprehension, reading comprehension, and non-standard language usage
Preferred Experience:
•
Minimum of two (2) years of experience developing Web-based,
instructionally sound student materials for e-learning delivery from
refresher through advanced levels, using Web development tools such as
Macromedia products (Dreamweaver)
• Minimum of two (2) year of experience using Microsoft Office Suite
•
Minimum of one (1) year of combined experience preparing and presenting
language platform instruction to Military/Government students
Citizenship:
Permanent Residency required. U.S. Citizenship preferred.
