Five College Lecturer in Korean

Mount Holyoke College invites applications for a Five College Lecturer in Korean based at Mount Holyoke College beginning Fall 2016. This is a full-time appointment initially for one academic year (2016-17) but it may be renewed one or two additional academic years. Teaching load is five courses per year, and Five College lecturers normally teach on more than one campus each semester. The successful candidate will be expected to offer courses in elementary, intermediate, and/or advanced Korean language. The lecturer will play a vital role in our innovative learning model that accommodates the needs of students spread across the five campuses.

Qualifications: Native or near-native fluency in Korean and English. The academic field of specialization should be in a field of language education such as TESOL or linguistics and education. At minimum, Master’s degree required. In addition, applicants should have at least three years of experience teaching Korean at all levels (from elementary to advanced) at a college or university.

Applicants should also arrange to have three letters of reference submitted on their behalf.
