Position Description

1.     Teach Korean language and literature courses to Middle/High School Korean students as a second and primary language (Language B/A)

2.     Act as a liaison between KIS administration, teaching staff, individual Korean students and their parents, mentor to students.Assist with translation and interpretation as needed

 

Professional Qualifications

3.     B.A (or equivalent) from a recognized university + Bachelors in Education or TESOL or language teaching certificate

4.     Fluency in written and spoken Korean and English and a minimum of 1 year language teaching experience

5.     Ability to teach in additional area e.g. Art, Music, Physical Education desirable

 

Responsibilities

6.     Knowledge and experience with IB Diploma or MYP will be valued

7.     Teach 30 out of 60 instructional periods in a 6-day cycle (usually 4-5 classes with 2-3 subjects preparations)
