[University of Southern California] Part-Time Korean Language Lecturer Position
The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures in the Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California, invites applications for a part-time, teaching-track lecturer position in the Korean language for the 2022-2023 academic year with at least two courses per semester. The position will be for one year of instruction, but may be renewed depending on satisfactory performance and demand for Korean language courses.
The department provides students with a well-rounded education on East Asia by focusing on the study of the languages, literatures, and cultures of China, Japan and Korea at both the graduate (Ph.D.) and undergraduate (B.A.) level. Applicants should have an M.A. or Ph.D. in language pedagogy, second language acquisition, linguistics, or related fields, and possess native or near-native fluency in both their language of instruction and English. Evidence of dynamic and effective language teaching is essential. Candidates with ACTFL OPI Testing Certification are desirable. Salary and benefits are competitive.
