[University of Oregon] Career Instructors of Korean
The University of Oregon’s East Asian Languages and Literatures Department invites applicants for two full-time Career Instructor of Korean positions to begin 9/16/2022.
Career Instructors are expected to teach 9 Korean language courses per year and to contribute to the Korean program by collaborating with colleagues in course design and development. Applicants must have: an M.A. degree or higher in linguistics or a related field, including but not limited to Korean language, second language acquisition, and language pedagogy; experience teaching Korean at the university/college level; native or native-like fluency in Korean and near-native fluency in English to teach at any level within the curriculum; and the ability to teach effectively both independently and in a team environment at a variety of levels (beginning to advanced).
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in implementing language-learning technologies, coordinating or directing a language program, and expertise in communicative language teaching. Complete applications will be reviewed beginning 11/1/21.
