[University of Delaware, Newark, DE] Adjunct Faculty Position in Korean
The Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of Delaware in Newark, DE, seeks a dynamic and innovative instructor to teach one or two in-person Korean language courses at any level in Fall 2026. This is an adjunct position, renewable on a semester basis.
Qualifications and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Master's Degree in Korean Language, Literature, Linguistics, or Second Language Acquisition and Teaching, or in a related field, and should have native or near-native fluency in both Korean and English. Experience teaching college-level Korean in the US is highly desired.
The core responsibilities of this position include teaching Korean-language classes as needed by the Department and contributing to the development of the Korean Program. Candidates should be:
- committed to high-quality instruction in a collaborative, communicative-based learning environment;
- able to work with students from diverse backgrounds and with diverse learning styles;
- willing to collaborate with colleagues to advance student outcomes; and
- experienced with using technology to foster student learning.
The instructor is also expected to hold one hour of student office hours per course per week.
Compensation
