KOREAN LANGUAGE INSTRUCTOR
To begin fall 2014

The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at Indiana University, Bloomington, seeks to fill a full-time lecturer position in Korean language to begin in fall 2014. The position is appointed with an initial 3-year contract, renewable annually, with promotion to senior lecture and long-term contract in sixth year for excellent performance.
Minimum qualifications: MA in Korean language and linguistics, language pedagogy, applied linguistics or related field; native/near-native proficiency; prior experience and demonstrated success in teaching Korean at the college level in the U.S.
Applicants must be qualified to teach Korean language at all levels. Duties include 3 courses per semester and active involvement with program development such as training and supervising graduate student teaching assistants, conducting placement tests, and related duties.
