The Department of World Languages & Cultures at Georgia
State University anticipates hiring a full-time, tenure track, assistant
professor in Korean effective August 2019 (Fall semester) pending budgetary
approval. Applicants must possess a
Ph.D. in Korean pedagogy, Korean applied linguistics, or equivalent. Additionally, candidates must have native or
near-native fluency in Korean, and must be able to teach a variety of Korean
courses. The search committee will give particular consideration to candidates
with interest and experience in foreign language acquisition, program
coordination and development, supervision of GTAs and/or part-time instructors,
leading/coordinating study abroad programs, and student recruitment to the
undergraduate program. Strong record of
publication is expected. Successful experience of securing external funding
would be a plus. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in
academic advisement, evaluation of transfer credits, and other matters related
to the undergraduate program. Review of
