Call for submissions to KLA Vol 28_Deadline August 1st, 2024

 

안녕하세요?  The Korean Language in America 편집장 김민주입니다. 따뜻해지는 날씨에 즐거운 마음으로 학기 잘 마무리하고 계시길 바랍니다.

2024년 12월 발간을 목표로 하고 있는 KLA 28권에 게재될 논문을 모집하고 있습니다. 28권에 게재를 원하실 경우 논문 마감일인 8 1일까지 투고하여 주시기 바랍니다. 이번호는 28권 1호와 2호를 합쳐서 합본으로 발간할 계획입니다. 그 만큼 많은 논문들이 실릴 예정이오니 많은 참여를 부탁드리며, 특히 이번 인디애나대학 AATK 학회에서 발표하실 논문들을 정리하셔서 학회지에 투고해 주시면 대단히 감사하겠습니다. KLA 투고는 연중 가능하며, 투고하시는대로 논문 심사를 시작하여 심사 과정이 신속하게 이루어 질 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠습니다.

투고 분야에 대해서는 이하 공지문을 참조해 주시기 바라며, 지난 회차 학술지들은 학회 사이트에 로그인 하시면 JSTOR를 통해 보실 수 있습니다. 상세한 투고 방법은 학회 저널 사이트 (at: https://aatk.org/journal/)에서 찾으실 수 있고, 투고 관련 문의는 편집장에게(mkim@cmc.edu) 해 주시기 바랍니다. 회원 여러분의 많은 관심과 투고를 부탁드립니다.

 

Dear AATK members,

We are currently accepting contributions for Volume 28 of The Korean Language in America.  Papers may be submitted at any time but should be submitted by August 1st to be considered for possible publication in Volume 28, which we aim to publish in December, 2024. Volume 28 will be a combined volume (28.1 and 28.2). We especially would like to encourage you to submit papers that you will present at the upcoming AATK conferences in Indiana University.

All the previous issues of The Korean Language in America are available in JSTOR. Please refer to the Journal’s website (at: https://aatk.org/journal/) for submission guidelines and manuscript format. The guidelines can be viewed and downloaded as a PDF file.

** The deadline for consideration for publication in Volume 28 is August 1st, 2024.**

Contributions solicited for Volume 28 are in the following areas:  

RESEARCH ARTICLES

9,000 words maximum
(e.g., experimental/empirical studies, qualitative/quantitative, classroom discourse, cognitive-functional linguistics, sociolinguistics, pragmatics, applied phonetics/phonology in classroom teaching, cross-linguistic/cross-cultural topics, heritage language learners and teachers, National Standards for Korean, and so forth)

FORUM PIECES

· Best Practices for Teaching (BPT) 3,000 words maximum
(e.g., curriculum design, exemplary teaching strategies, effective assessment practices, professional development/teacher training, etc.)

· Voices from the Field (VFF) 1,500 words maximum
(e.g., opinions on teaching trends and practices, dialogue or commentary on articles published in the KLA or elsewhere, etc.)

BOOK REVIEWS

1,000 words maximum
