The Department of East Asian Studies at Brown University invites applications for a full-time, two-year position as visiting lecturer of Korean language, effective July 1, 2014. Minimum qualifications include M.A. degree or the equivalent in Korean language and linguistics, language pedagogy, applied linguistics or related field, native or near-native fluency in Korean, competency in spoken and written English, and experience teaching Korean language to English-speaking students at the college level. Applicants should be able to teach Korean at all levels. Please provide a letter of application, curriculum vitae, a teaching portfolio (including a list of courses taught, syllabi, teaching evaluations if available, and an example of classroom teaching (provide link to online video), and three letters of reference.
